Plockton Amateur Dramatic Society

The Plockton Amateur Dramatic Society (PADS) was formed in the 1930s and produces both competitive and non-competitive plays and shows.

Our season begins in September when we hold our AGM. We cast for our competitive plays to be entered into the SCDA One Act Play Festival which takes place in February each year. We also decide on non-competitive fundraising activity and every second year, begin rehearsals for Panto. Our season can end any time between February and July depending on how far our competitive plays progress.

In 2015 we formed a youth section — PADYS — for kids aged five and over. In a Panto year, this is the main PADYS activity. In a non-Panto year, we enter a junior and intermediate play in the local SCDA Youth Festival which takes place in early March. Our season usually ends at the school Easter holidays.

We are always looking for new members either on stage, backstage, or in a committee role so please do get in touch if you are interested!
